Thai Women’s Volleyball Team Triumphs Over Philippines in CV League Opener

Nakhon ratchasima: The Thai women's volleyball team emerged victorious against the Philippines with a 3-1 win in the opening match of the 2025 CV League, Field 1. This event, part of the "BYD CV V.League 2025, Field 1," is taking place at the Terminal 21 Korat Shopping Center in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, marking its 5th consecutive year. Teams from four ASEAN countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines, are competing in this tournament. According to Thai News Agency, the Thai team, under the guidance of head coach "Coach Oat" Kiattipong Rachatakraingkrai, started with players Thatdao Nuekjang, Thanatcha Suksod, Donphon Sinpho, Warisara Sitalet, setter Pornpan Kerdprach, and libero Kalyarat Khamwong. Despite losing the first set 17-25, marking the first set loss to the Philippines in six years, they regained their momentum. The team secured victory by winning the next three sets with scores of 26-24, 25-20, and 25-20. Coach Oat expressed contentment with the team's performance bu t acknowledged the need for improvements. He remains optimistic about their upcoming match against Indonesia, scheduled for Saturday, August 2, at 5:00 p.m., where he hopes for another victory.
