Mr. Chaiyos Jiwangkur, Director of Securities Analysis at Krungsri Securities, shared insights on Channel 9 MCOT HD's Investment Minutes program. He noted that although political factors continue to impact the stock market, the pressure has lessened compared to the sharp declines witnessed in the past two days. External factors, particularly the potenti al involvement of the US in the Israel-Iran conflict, have also influenced market dynamics. The recent statement from the White House indicating that President Donald Trump will decide on this matter within two weeks has contributed to easing market tensions. Additionally, the upcoming Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting is another focal point for investors. On the currency front, the baht opened at 32.70 baht/dollar, showing slight strengthening from the previous day's closing level of 32.77 baht/dollar. Mr. Poon Panichpiboon, a strategist for money and capital markets at Krungthai Bank, highlighted that despite reduced transaction volumes due to the Juneteenth holiday in the US financial market, the baht gained support from the dollar's weakening. The currency also benefited from the rebound in gold prices amidst uncertainties surrounding the Israel-Iran conflict. The baht is anticipated to remain within the range of 32.60-32.90 baht/dollar over the next 24 hours as market participants await the UK ret ail sales report for May.
