Thai Sang Thai Party Vows Ethical Action Against MPs Violating Resolutions

Bangkok: Thai Sang Thai is prepared to take ethical measures against its members who defy party resolutions. Thai Sang Thai issued a statement declaring its role as the opposition party and its commitment to ethical action against MPs who breach the party's directives. Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan, the party leader, acknowledged that Anudit and Karun parted on amicable terms.

According to Thai News Agency, Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan addressed the resignation of some party members and their failure to align with party resolutions. She noted that ideological differences emerged post-election, with some members wanting to join the government while others wished to remain in opposition, adhering to the promises made to the electorate. The party, after numerous discussions, resolved to uphold its ideological stance and act as an opposition force, focusing on constructive scrutiny of the government for the people's benefit.

The party has faced incidents where some MPs disregarded the party resolution and aligned themselves with the government. The party's ethics committee, led by Mr. Pokin Bholkul, is now pursuing legal action against such members, citing dishonesty toward the electorate and the party. The party expresses regret to the public for these incidents and acknowledges the challenges faced in establishing their ideology with limited time post-separation from their previous party before entering elections.

Regarding Capt. Anudit Nakornthap and Mr. Karun Hosakul's decision to join the Kla Tham Party, the Thai Sang Thai Party stated that this does not impede its operations. Both individuals had informed Khunying Sudarat months prior, and she expressed understanding and did not oppose their decision.

The Thai Sang Thai Party remains steadfast in its mission, viewing these incidents as a catalyst for strengthening the party. They emphasize the broader issues facing Thailand, such as political corruption, economic stagnation, and social issues, urging a dismantling of corrupt systems. The party calls for collective efforts to address these challenges, advocating for a transformation toward honest politics, economic revitalization, and systemic reforms to enhance the nation's competitiveness and restore its global image.

Khunying Sudarat concluded with a call to action for citizens to support the party's mission to rectify the current political landscape and create a thriving, transparent future for Thailand. The Thai Sang Thai Party positions itself as a movement for the people, determined to combat the systemic issues and restore faith in Thai politics.
