Bueng Kan: Suspects have been identified in the murder of a 51-year-old man, whose throat was slit before his body was dumped into a pond located at the end of a village in Na Sabang Subdistrict, Si Wilai District, Bueng Kan Province. The deceased's brother disclosed that he witnessed the crime but was too afraid to intervene.

According to Thai News Agency, officials retrieved the body of Mr. Banjong from the Kut Khi Khiao swamp near Nong Bua Ngern village. The body had deep slash wounds on the neck and a sunken left jaw. In a nearby hut on the deceased's rubber plantation, about 500 meters from the swamp, authorities found bloodstains and traces on a bamboo bed. Two machetes were discovered on the bed and were collected as evidence to gather DNA clues.

Mr. Mongkol, the 60-year-old brother of the deceased, recounted that he was about 100 meters away from the hut during the incident. He witnessed the perpetrators attacking his brother but was too scared to help. He observed the perpetrators create loud noises 2-3 times before dragging his brother onto a cart used for rubber waste. Fearing for his own safety, he did not follow them but instead told his wife to notify the police.

Initial investigations have identified approximately four suspects. Evidence is currently being gathered to apprehend the criminals. The police have handed over the body to the Sawang Rescue Foundation, which will transport it to Srinagarind Hospital, Khon Kaen, for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
