Nakhon Sawan: Last week, a shocking incident occurred when a body was found stuffed into a 200-liter plastic drum and thrown into the Huai Yai Takhro reservoir in Nakhon Sawan Province. Today, the suspect has been arrested. According to Thai News Agency, the horrifying incident at Huai Yai Takhro Reservoir, Phaisali District, Nakhon Sawan Province, involved the discovery of a mysterious man's body inside a 200-liter plastic drum floating near the bank on May 18, prompting Takhro Police Station to launch a thorough investigation into this brutal crime.
The initial examination confirmed that the victim had been dead for 3-5 days and bore gunshot wounds from a shotgun. Alongside the body, investigators found large rocks, fertilizer bags, a shoulder bag, and a mobile phone inside the plastic container. These items helped identify the deceased as Mr. Chuthaphet, also known as Uan, a 44-year-old farm worker from Khok Charoen District, Lop Buri Province.
After a week-long investigation and analysis of CCTV footage, authorities identified the perpetrator as Mr. Parawi, also known as Game, aged 35. Key evidence recovered from Mr. Game's pickup truck and rice field further implicated him in the crime. Mr. Game's aunt, Ms. Renu, expressed her shock as she followed the news, stating she never imagined her nephew could commit such a serious crime.
When police arrived with an arrest warrant, Mr. Game fled to the mountain behind the Pa Khao Khieo forest monastery. Officers deployed a drone and a team of foot soldiers to secure the area, eventually leading to Mr. Game's capture. He faces charges of intentional murder, concealing a corpse, and violations of the Firearms Act. An accomplice, Mr. Chalerm, also known as Mum, was charged with assisting in concealing the corpse. Another individual, Mr. Prasong, known as Beer, is under investigation for potential involvement.
During questioning, Mr. Game confessed to shooting Mr. Uan after an argument over stolen solar cell equipment from the farm. Police subsequently took Mr. Game to reenact the crime scene to corroborate his confession.
