Bangkok: Suriya Juangroongruangkit has expressed his support for appointing Pongkawin Juangroongruangkit as the Minister of Labor, highlighting his accomplishments across various domains. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport emphasized the importance of caring for workers to ensure they receive their deserved welfare rights, which would, in turn, encourage their productivity.
According to Thai News Agency, Suriya pointed out that the decision regarding the distribution of ministerial roles within the Pheu Thai Party lies with the Prime Minister. Pongkawin, who serves as the Deputy Leader of the Pheu Thai Party, has been actively engaged with the party's executive operations. Suriya believes that the Prime Minister has recognized Pongkawin's achievements. Additionally, Pongkawin has been instrumental in managing social media communication with the public and overseeing the activities of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration members, who have consistently participated in local political meetings.
Suriya further noted that the recent royal command appointing several new ministers is a significant gesture, obliging all ministers to address the pressing issues within their respective ministries. In light of these developments, Pongkawin is expected to tackle urgent challenges. While Suriya is willing to offer guidance, he stressed that the immediate focus should be on addressing the needs of laborers, ensuring they receive adequate welfare rights to boost their morale and work efficiency.
