Suchart Tancharoen Begins Tenure by Paying Homage at Government House

Bangkok: "Suchart," the newly appointed Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, marked his first day by honoring sacred objects at Government House, a gesture believed to bring good luck in his new role overseeing the Office of Buddhism and MCOT.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Suchart Tancharoen commenced his official duties by visiting Government House, where he paid his respects at 9.09 am to the spirit house and the shrine of the grandparents, both considered sacred. This act aims to ensure good fortune as he embarks on his responsibilities.

Mr. Suchart has been entrusted with significant authority to issue orders and perform duties on behalf of the Prime Minister. His responsibilities include oversight of the Office of the Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister, the National Office of Buddhism, and the Royal Society, including its associated work. Additionally, he is assigned to supervise state enterprises, specifically MCOT Public Company Limited.
