Bang bua thong: A 24-year-old man has confessed to pushing his stepdaughter to the ground, resulting in her death. The incident which occurred in Tambon Bang Bua Thong, Amphoe Bang Bua Thong, Nonthaburi Province, has shocked the local community.
According to Thai News Agency, the suspect, identified as Thanawat, admitted during a six-hour interrogation that he became angry with the child, known as 'Nong Kongbeng,' for making loud noises. In a fit of rage, he pushed her, causing her to fall and hit her head on the floor, leading to her unconsciousness and subsequent death. The police have since taken Thanawat to reenact the crime scene as part of the ongoing investigation.
The child's mother, aged 25, revealed that she had been leaving her child in Thanawat's care while she worked at a nail shop. She had initially been cautious, taking her child with her, but had recently entrusted Thanawat with the responsibility as her son appeared to have bonded with him. However, she became suspicious when she noticed unexplained bruises on her child during visits home.
Thanawat's father expressed his remorse over the incident, describing his son as usually obedient but acknowledging his hot temper. He apologized for his son's actions and assured that they would accept the legal consequences. Meanwhile, the biological father of Nong Khongbeng, Mr. Phuritat, has been actively following the case and intends to pursue legal action.
Neighbors reported hearing occasional arguments between a man and a woman, as well as loud noises at night from the suspect's residence, but did not hear any cries during the incident. The local community remains in shock as investigations continue.
