State Enterprises Exceed Investment Budget Targets with 101% Disbursement

Bangkok: State enterprises have surpassed their investment budget targets, achieving a disbursement rate of 101 percent for the period from October 2024 to May 2025, equating to 76,674 million baht across 34 locations. Mr. Thibdee Wattanakul, the Director of the State Enterprise Policy Committee Office (SOE), provided details on the disbursement performance of 43 state enterprises under SOE monitoring. These enterprises are categorized into those following the fiscal year and those aligning with the calendar year.

According to Thai News Agency, the total investment budget framework for 2025 is set at 253,994 million baht. As of the end of May 2025, the accumulated disbursement results reached 121,387 million baht, representing 109 percent of the disbursement plan. This includes fiscal year state enterprises, which disbursed 76,674 million baht, achieving 101 percent of their target. Meanwhile, calendar year state enterprises disbursed 44,713 million baht, achieving 125 percent of their target.

The leading state enterprises in terms of disbursement under the fiscal year category, meeting at least 95 percent of their plans with the highest values, include the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), and the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority. In the calendar year category, the top performers were the Provincial Electricity Authority, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, and the Metropolitan Electricity Authority.
