Songkhla: Songkhla Province, led by Mr. Supit Pitaktham, President of the Songkhla Provincial Administrative Organization, announced its readiness to bid to host the 51st King's Cup Football Tournament, set for September 2025, following its success as host last year.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Supit emphasized that the bid is not just a pursuit of temporary success but a testament to the collaborative spirit of the Songkhla community, which transformed the 50th King's Cup into a significant national event. He affirmed the province's enhanced preparedness for hosting the prestigious tournament.
Mr. Supit highlighted that Songkhla has demonstrated its capability to host international competitions with professionalism and strong fan support. The province is prepared in all aspects, including venue, management, and public reception, to host the tournament once again.
Further, Mr. Supit expressed confidence in Songkhla's potential to emerge as a sports city, with recognition from the Football Association of Thailand and football fans nationwide affirming the province's readiness. He stressed that the event is not driven by personal interests but by a desire to generate happiness for the people of Songkhla and football fans across the nation.

The 50th King's Cup, hosted last year at Tinsulanon Stadium in Songkhla Province, was successful, with the Thai national team winning the championship for the first time in seven years. The matches attracted full stadiums, with the final round selling out three days in advance.
