Bang bua thong: The SME Bank has teamed up with various partners to organize a comprehensive training program aimed at people with disabilities and their caregivers, as part of the celebrations for Her Majesty the Queen Mother's birthday.
According to Thai News Agency, the Small and Medium Enterprise Credit Guarantee Corporation (TCG), alongside Bang Bua Thong Municipality, the National Savings Fund (NSF), and Sukhumvit Asset Management Co., Ltd. (SAM), hosted the event at the Bang Bua Thong Municipality Office in Nonthaburi Province on August 19, 2025. This initiative, titled "Enhancement of Intellectual Capital, Building on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in Accordance with the Mother of the Land Fund," aims to honor Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, for her dedication to the welfare of the Thai people.
Ms. Dusida Thapwong, Senior Deputy General Manager of Channel Management and Entrepreneur Development at TCG, stated that the project draws on TCG and its partners' expertise to promote financial literacy and build intellectual capital. The program is designed around the "3 Knows": knowing how to earn a living, solve debt, and save. These principles are intended to advance careers, ensure equitable access to formal credit, and support the future career sustainability of vulnerable groups, helping them overcome limitations. This reflects the Queen Mother's commitment to the welfare of Thai society.
The training focuses on imparting financial knowledge, business management skills, and sustainable life planning to individuals with disabilities, their caregivers, and village health volunteers. The goal is to enhance their financial access and build "intellectual capital," aligning with the Mother of the Land Fund's philosophy of fostering social, intellectual, and discipline capital for sustainable self-reliance.
