According to Thai News Agency, today (15 Feb 2015) a steel railing on the stage of the symbolic event of Leing Nok Tha, Yasothon Province, collapsed while Ms. Sabida Thaiset, Deputy Minister of the Interior, was opening the event. She was initially slightly injured when she was hit in the head by the steel railing. She was able to continue opening the event and take photos with the people before going to the hospital for a physical examination and a CT scan, which came back normal. She has now returned home.
While Mr. Thanapat Srichana, MP for Yasothon, from an x-ray and CT scan, found a fractured T3 spine, so he was sent to Saraphisitprasong Hospital, Ubon Ratchathani Province. Mr. Sutthichai Charoonnet, MP for Ubon Ratchathani, had minor injuries and is being treated at a private hospital.
