Bangkok: SENA confirms the structural strength of all buildings after the Niche Mono Bang Pho building's crane collapsed yesterday.
According to Thai News Agency, following the earthquake incident on March 28, 2025, and the crane collapse at the Niche Mono Bang Pho building, which was under construction, SENA Development Public Company Limited (SENA) has taken immediate steps to address the situation. The crane collapse resulted in the tragic death of the crane operator at the scene. In response, SENA has provided urgent assistance to the bereaved families and dispatched a team of engineers for a comprehensive inspection of all high-rise buildings associated with the company.
Ms. Kesara Thanyalakphak, Managing Director of SENA, stated that inspections have been carried out on both completed and under-construction projects. The focus was on assessing the main structural elements, including foundations, columns, beams, bearing walls, as well as electrical systems and water pipes, to ensure compliance with engineering standards. A more detailed survey is planned and is expected to conclude by March 30.
The engineering team confirmed that the buildings are stable and safe for occupancy and normal use. The damage observed was limited to architectural elements and did not compromise the structural strength. It was merely a result of vibrations affecting the building's architecture.
SENA's team remains on-site to monitor the situation and inspect all project buildings. A special service center has been established to provide assistance and advice to residents with concerns. SENA emphasizes that resident safety remains the top priority, with all projects designed to meet international safety standards.
Residents are urged to contact the Special Service Center at 006-079-6663 or via Line OA: SENA SenX for any inquiries or support needed.
