Sedan Crashes into Parked Trailer Truck, Young Driver Seriously Injured

Chonburi: A young man driving a sedan crashed into the back of a trailer parked on the side of the road, resulting in serious injuries. His body was trapped inside the car, and he was seriously injured. Rescue workers helped pull his body out before sending him to the hospital. According to Thai News Agency, police officers received a report early this morning of a car accident with injuries on the Chonburi bypass road, near the Ramachu overpass heading into Bangkok. Police officers and the Tri Khunnatham Rescue Foundation rushed to the scene and found a yellow sedan with Chonburi license plates in a badly damaged condition, having collided with the back of an 18-wheel tractor-trailer parked on the roadside. In front of the driver's seat of the sedan, the body of Mr. Wasu, aged 30, was discovered. He sustained a cut on his face, and his left leg had a deep cut at the knee where bones were exposed. His body was trapped inside. Rescue workers had to use a cutting machine to free him and provide first aid befo re rushing him to Chonburi Hospital. Mr. Wiwek, the trailer driver, revealed that he had traveled from Sriracha and was on his way to pick up goods at Bang Phli. Upon reaching the scene of the accident, he parked his vehicle on the roadside to wait for the scheduled pick-up time when suddenly the sedan collided with the rear of his trailer. Police will initially wait to question the injured sedan driver and check the trailer's parking position to determine if it was adequately close to the side of the road and sufficiently lit for legal purposes.
