Sa Kaeo Immigration Arrests Thai Woman Hiding 6 kg of Cocaine Worth Over 16 Million

Sa Kaeo: Immigration Police arrested a 30-year-old woman while entering Thailand through the Aranyaprathet Immigration checkpoint. A search of her luggage found cocaine hidden in a cloth doll, weighing a total of 6 kilograms, worth over 16 million baht.

According to Thai News Agency, Sa Kaeo Immigration Police detained Ms. Chamaiporn, 30, as she traveled from Cambodia to Thailand via the Aranyaprathet Immigration checkpoint. This arrest followed the detection of two drug-related arrest warrants through a biometric machine. Upon searching her luggage, authorities discovered white powder cocaine packed in plastic condoms and concealed within 656 cloth dolls.

During questioning, Ms. Chamaiporn confessed that her Nigerian husband hired her to transport the cocaine from Qatar for a payment of 100,000 baht. The couple traveled to Phnom Penh Airport and then took a bus to Poipet before entering Thailand. Her husband instructed her to deliver the cocaine to a friend in Bangkok. This incident marks the largest cocaine bust at the Aranyaprathet Immigration checkpoint. Officials plan to transfer the suspect and evidence to the Office of the Narcotics Control Board Region 2 for further legal action and investigation.
