Royal Thai Air Force to Host 16th Annual Concert for Chaipattana

Bangkok: The Royal Thai Air Force is prepared to organize the 16th annual Air Force-Thai Concert for "Chaipattana." Air Chief Marshal Panphakdi Pattanakul, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force, led the press conference for the event, accompanied by Air Chief Marshal Witoon Khamcharoen, Chairman of the Royal Thai Air Force Advisory Board and Chairman of the Concert Organizing Committee, along with notable figures such as Ms. Jiw Piyanuch Sueajongpru, Ms. Taeng Phusit Laithong, and Ms. Maem Patcharida Wattana.

According to Thai News Agency, the Royal Thai Air Force has been hosting this concert annually since 2006, with all proceeds going to support the Chaipattana Foundation. This initiative honors the legacy of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, who founded the Chaipattana Foundation to back royal projects aimed at improving the quality of life for the people.

The theme for this year's concert is 'The Wind Rises,' symbolizing strength and gentleness amid challenges, akin to the Royal Thai Air Force's mission. The concert will feature a musical performance by the Air Force Symphony Orchestra, which includes musicians, soloists, and a choir from the Air Force Band, Air Force Nursing Students, and Air Force Cadets, totaling 250 performers. They will perform a range of international songs, Thai pop songs, and Air Force Institute songs.

The event will be graced by renowned guest artists such as Bird Thongchai McIntyre, Lula Kanyarat Tiyapornchai, Jiew Piyanuch Sueajongpru, and Wongchalieng, among others. Talented Air Force personnel will also participate in the musical showcase.

Scheduled at the Thailand Cultural Center's Main Auditorium, the concert will be held over two sessions. The first performance, open to the media and public, is on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., with live broadcasts available on www.rtaf.live and Air Force cable TV. The second session, the Royal Procession, is set for Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.
