Bangkok: In a significant political move, key figures from the Bhumjaithai Party and Prachachon Party engaged in an informal discussion before proceeding to formal talks with opposition parties. The meeting, which lasted approximately 45 minutes, took place in a closed room, fostering a positive environment for dialogue.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, along with other prominent members including Chaichana Chidchob and Phradorn Prisananankul, met with Nattaphong Ruengpanyawut, leader of the Prachachon Party, at the opposition leader's room. The Prachachon Party delegation also included Rangsiman Rome and former MP Picharn Chaowapatanawong.
The informal meeting concluded with both parties leaving the room visibly pleased. Anutin noted that while they were familiar with each other in the parliamentary setting, this was their first work-related discussion. The meeting underscored the need for direct dialogue between the parties.
Following the informal discussion, representatives walked together to meeting room 607 to engage with leaders and representatives of other opposition political parties. Notably, the agenda did not include discussions on appointing an interim prime minister but did touch upon the topic of an entertainment complex.
