Pathumwan: The Central Investigation Bureau, the Department of Intellectual Property, and brand representatives jointly conducted a raid on a warehouse concealed within a shopping mall parking lot in the Pathumwan area. The operation led to the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of more than 2,000 counterfeit shoes, with damages assessed at over 10 million baht.
According to Thai News Agency, the warehouse was cleverly disguised with rooms labeled 'Engineering Department' to evade inspection. The suspects initially confessed to the charges, and the evidence has been forwarded to the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) investigators for further legal proceedings. Authorities have issued a warning highlighting that purchasing and using counterfeit shoes not only breaches intellectual property laws but also poses health risks to wearers and negatively impacts the economy.
