Pathumwan: The Central Investigation Bureau, together with the Department of Intellectual Property and brand representatives, conducted a raid on a warehouse storing counterfeit shoes hidden in a shopping mall parking lot in the Pathumwan area, leading to the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of more than 2,000 items of evidence. The operation uncovered damages estimated to be worth more than 10 million baht.
According to Thai News Agency, the warehouse had been cleverly divided into rooms labeled 'Engineering Department' to avoid detection and inspection. The suspects, upon initial questioning, confessed to their involvement in the illegal operation. Consequently, charges were filed, and the seized evidence was sent to the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) investigators for further legal proceedings. Authorities have issued a warning to the public, emphasizing that purchasing and using counterfeit shoes not only violates intellectual property laws but can also have adverse effects on the wearer's health and the economy.
