Bangkok: The government is preparing to establish a public relations center for the royal cremation ceremony of Her Majesty the Queen Mother, focusing on communication and raising awareness of Her Majesty’s role, who holds a revered place in the hearts of the Thai people.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Supamas Isaraphakdi, Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office and Chairwoman of the Public Relations Committee for the Royal Cremation Ceremony, presided over the 1/2025 Public Relations Committee meeting. The meeting aimed to prepare and discuss the work plan, content, and dissemination format. The primary goal is to methodically promote all content related to Her Majesty the Queen Mother, ensuring the ceremony is conducted with elegance and dignity. Representatives from key agencies, including both public and private sectors, and all branches of the media, were present.
Ms. Supamas highlighted the urgency of public relations efforts to create widespread public awareness and understanding among all groups. She expressed her deepest condolences and gratitude for the infinite grace and graciousness of Her Majesty the Queen Mother, who is a beloved and revered figure.
The committee has mapped out a timeline to ensure that public relations efforts are timely and comprehensive. The focus is on publicizing His Majesty’s royal duties, biography, and gracious conduct, to remind the public of His Majesty’s numerous contributions. The committee employs popular communication channels like TikTok and Facebook to present content creatively, modernly, and engagingly, conveying the essence of the royal ceremonies and His Majesty’s benevolence appropriately. Additionally, the committee offers students and youth platforms to express their loyalty and gratitude for His Majesty’s benevolence.
Ms. Supamas further stated that the Public Relations Committee plans to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) technology for communication. This includes developing a chatbot that can provide information 24/7. The Public Relations Department has been tasked with launching an official website to ensure the public receives accurate and timely information. Media centers will also be established in central and regional offices in every province nationwide.
