Regarding the Constitutional Court's scheduled hearing for August 21st regarding the audio clip of a conversation between Prime Minister and Minister of Culture Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra and Mr. Hun Sen, prior to the ruling on August 29th, the court has granted her the right to provide clarification. The court affirms the Prime Minister's honesty and that there has been no ethical violation. The audio clip is a technicality of the conversation, and the court maintains its innocence.

The Prime Minister's Secretary-General detailed the situation on the Thai-Cambodian border. Since March, the Prime Minister has discussed border security and drug suppression with the military, and both the government and military have demonstrated unity and worked well together. However, since February, Cambodia has violated these regulations, with soldiers protesting in accordance with traditional border rules. This led to the excavation of a cullet and a clash, resulting in the death of one Cambodian soldier and injury. Throughout this period, the Prime Minister has prioritized and followed up on the situation, holding close meetings with the army commander and the Minister of Defense.

The Prime Minister's Secretary also emphasized that past actions have been carried out in accordance with legal requirements. The Prime Minister has prioritized sequence and procedures in hopes of resolving the situation. This includes delegating tasks and escalating negotiations in a systematic manner. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, previously negotiated at the Chong Bok border, leading to the closure of the Thai-Cambodian border checkpoint. At that time, the Prime Minister personally met with the National Security Council (NSC) and assigned the NSC to proceed with the opening and closing of the checkpoint according to procedure, which Cambodia was not pleased with. Furthermore, the discussions at the JBC on June 14, 2025, and the Cambodian government's announcement were completely different, and Mr. Hun Sen's separate social media posts further escalated the situation.

The Prime Minister's Secretary also revealed a telephone conversation between the Prime Minister and Hun Sen, stating that Mr. Hoat, the Thai-speaking Cambodian representative, contacted him several times. Initially, he declined. The Prime Minister emphasized caution and discussed the matter with Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and himself. Importantly, Mr. Hun Sen, not a negotiating partner, is the Prime Minister's father, but may have influence over his son. Therefore, he hoped that informal conversations might be an avenue.

The Prime Minister's Secretary commented on Cambodia's intention in releasing the audio clip, saying that it wanted to cause chaos in the Thai leadership and instability in the government and military, especially by saying that within three months the Prime Minister must be changed. This is Cambodia's intention.

The Prime Minister's Secretary also urged Thailand to remain united and united in its fight against the nation's enemies. At this moment, it is crucial to recognize our core principle: peace is a crucial tool in preserving the lives of our soldiers and civilians. This principle is crucial. We strive to uphold peaceful means to achieve peace. At the same time, the military must be strong and highly effective. The government itself must be a force that demonstrates strength to other countries and fosters peace.

"We affirm that the government and the military are united, and it is the government's intention to fully support the military's strength. The government is fully supporting various technologies as a guarantee for peace in the country. Peace is a tool that will preserve the lives of our soldiers and the public and enable economic growth. This is what we aspire to and uphold. If we think with a Winner Solution Approach, it is the intention of the winner. Every problem has a solution," the Prime Minister's Secretary stated.
