Bangkok: "Songkram" is confident that the Prime Minister is ready to explain if the opposition submits a request to open a censure debate. Songkram is confident that Prime Minister Paethongtarn is ready to explain if the opposition submits a motion of no confidence, indicating that the new cabinet will move forward to solve the economic problems for the people.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Songkram Kitlertpairoj, advisor to the Prime Minister (Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra), stated that if the opposition party decides to take advantage of the current political situation by preparing to submit a motion of no confidence in the Prime Minister's government under Section 151 in July 2025, it aligns with the political group's rally set for late June. This move is perceived as an attempt to escalate conflicts among the nation's citizens. However, he acknowledged that it is within the opposition party's rights to submit such a motion to the President of the Parliament, as it complies with the legal framework.
Mr. Songkram expressed confidence that Ms. Paethongtarn and all ministers would be able to address the opposition's questions adequately. However, he urged the opposition parties to stay focused on the specific issues raised and avoid deviating from them during the debate. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of considering Thailand's context, particularly the ongoing conflict between Thailand and Cambodia, which could potentially benefit entities wishing to harm the country and impact the local populace.
Mr. Songkram reassured that Ms. Paethongtarn and the relevant cabinet members are prepared to explain the existing problems and are committed to addressing the economic challenges facing the people. He noted that the cabinet reshuffle aligns with the country's progress, and he urged the public to have confidence in Ms. Paethongtarn and all ministers, who are dedicated to working diligently for the people and resolving economic issues effectively.
