Bangkok: The Prime Minister dodged inquiries concerning the "Chocolate Mint Declaration" following her return from an official visit to Surin Province. Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister remained reticent when pressed by reporters about the matter.
According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, avoided giving a direct response about discussions with Mr. Anutin regarding the controversial declaration during their flight back. She succinctly stated, 'We talked about a lot of things. What should we do? Then we got in the car and went back immediately.'
Mr. Anutin, when approached for comments about potential cabinet reshuffles, mentioned that no such discussions took place during the flight due to the aircraft encountering turbulence. He further deflected questions regarding Mr. Santi Promphat's rumored move from the Palang Pracharath Party to the Bhumjaithai Party, opting to prioritize work commitments over engaging with the press.
