Prime Minister Anutin Denies Distorting People’s Party Agreement

Bangkok: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has reiterated that there will be no distortion of the People's Party agreement. He urged the public not to discuss the matter for four months, countering accusations of not dissolving parliament. Anutin stressed that his interactions, such as dining with certain individuals, are his personal affairs. He also mentioned that Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit had clarified there was no set date on the 121st, a statement he confirmed.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin addressed the speculation about dissolving Parliament within four months, expressing his desire for the topic to remain undiscussed. He emphasized that the agreement in question, akin to a five-point contract, must be adhered to, including constitutional mandates and the requirement to avoid forming a majority. Anutin assured that he is not attempting to create a majority and that his social engagements are purely personal.

Anutin further urged against analyses that might cause concern among those who signed the agreement with him. He reaffirmed his commitment to implementing all agreed points and issues. He reiterated that both he and Thanathorn confirmed the absence of a "Day 121." When asked about future meetings with politicians ahead of the elections, Anutin stated that preparations for the election must be ongoing, a process the Bhumjaithai Party has been engaged in for two months.
