Prime Minister Announces Initiative for Civil Servant Housing in Six Provinces

Bangkok: The Prime Minister has announced a significant initiative aimed at improving the welfare of civil servants by developing housing projects across six provinces, which will include over 800 housing units in the first phase.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, convened a meeting this afternoon with representatives from the Ministry of Defense and the Governor of the National Housing Authority to discuss the project. This initiative is set to improve the quality of life for civil servants, including police, teachers, nurses, and soldiers, by providing them with stable and comfortable housing.

This housing project is a joint effort between the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. The pilot phase will be implemented in key provinces such as Udon Thani, Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Sawan, Chonburi, and Bangkok, offering a combination of single-family homes and residential buildings. The government believes that improving the living conditions of civil servants will not only enhance their quality of life but also serve as a catalyst for national development.

In a message posted on social media, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of this project and reiterated the government’s commitment to advancing civil servant welfare. The initiative, originally spearheaded by Mr. Settha Thavisin, aims to ensure that civil servants are well-supported, which is expected to have a positive impact on the broader community and contribute to the country’s progress.
