Pipat Denies Cabinet Reshuffle Negotiations by Bhumjaithai

Bangkok: Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labor and leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, has dismissed claims that the Bhumjaithai Party is negotiating a full cabinet reshuffle with Pheu Thai Party. He stated that party leader Anutin Charnvirakul, who is currently abroad, has already refuted these rumors. Pipat emphasized the importance of waiting for Anutin’s return to Thailand for any official statements on the matter.

According to Thai News Agency, Pipat highlighted that there have been no discussions within the Bhumjaithai Party regarding negotiation strategies for a cabinet reshuffle. He stressed that any decisions would be made by the party’s executive committee once Anutin returns. Currently, there has been no meeting of the party’s executive committee to address these issues.

Pipat mentioned that any acceptable or unacceptable conditions related to the cabinet reshuffle must be thoroughly discussed within the party. He reiterated that the party’s executive committee holds the discretion to make these decisions and expressed confidence that a resolution is possible.

When questioned about whether the news is an attempt to pressure Bhumjaithai to return the Interior Ministry to Pheu Thai, Pipat stated that he was unaware, having only seen the reports in the media. He refrained from commenting on the management of the Ministry of Economic Affairs by Pheu Thai, insisting that Bhumjaithai has not criticized Pheu Thai’s economic management in interviews.

Pipat also declined to speculate on potential exchanges of ministries, such as the Interior Ministry, emphasizing that this has not been discussed with the party’s executive committee. All decisions would adhere to the party’s resolutions, and any sensitive matters would be addressed by the party leader.
