Prime Minister Aims to Elevate Thai Music Industry with Global Festival Plans

Bangkok: The Prime Minister of Thailand has unveiled plans to host world-class music festivals in the country, signaling a major push to elevate the Thai music industry. The initiative follows discussions with executives from Tomorrowland Co., Ltd., and aims to transform Thailand into a World Event Destination.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, shared details of her meeting with Mr. Bruno Vanwelsenaers, the CEO of TL International (TLI), regarding the Tomorrowland Thailand 2026 project. The meeting took place at the Purple Room, Thai Khu Fah Building, Government House. The Prime Minister emphasized that the project builds on the vision initiated by former Prime Minister Settha Thavisin to bring top-tier music festivals to Thailand. The project is currently in its study and preparation phase.

The Prime Minister highlighted that Thailand will not merely serve as a venue but will become the central hub of the event. The government plans to incorporate Thai cultural elements into every sector and activity of the festival, ensuring maximum benefits for Thai people. This initiative aims to elevate Thai artists, push the music industry forward, and set new standards for concert organizing in the country.
