Port Authority of Thailand Caravan Delivers Essential Supplies to Soldiers at Camp Suranaree

Nakhon ratchasima: The Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) organized a caravan to deliver essential supplies to soldiers at Camp Suranaree in Nakhon Ratchasima. The company is committed to serving as a strong back line, standing alongside the brave soldiers and sending moral support to the people of the border for safety.

According to Thai News Agency, the Port Authority of Thailand (PAT), led by Mr. Drut Khamwichitthanapha, PAT Board Member, Mr. Kriangkrai Chaisiriwongsuk, PAT Director, along with executives and staff, traveled to Camp Suranaree, Second Army Area Command, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, to express gratitude and offer encouragement to soldiers who have sacrificed for their country by delivering essential items to meet the needs of personnel along the Thai-Cambodian border. This activity is part of the "Port Unites for Border Brothers and Nation's Soldiers" campaign.

The Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) Director stated, "The items donated this time include food, beverages, and essential items such as ready-to-eat meals, powdered electrolyte water, wet wipes, and PAT drinking water. This activity is part of the Port Unites for Border Brothers and the Nation's Soldiers campaign. This initiative received cooperation from PAT executives, staff, allies, and the public, who collectively donated over 333,000.95 baht. Over 150,000 baht has been allocated to purchase essential items to be delivered to military units based on their actual needs. Military units have requested items to be delivered to the frontline soldiers instead of cash. For today's (August 4, 2025) trip, PAT executives and staff, taking safety into consideration and minimizing the burden on personnel, personally delivered the items. Major General Narathip Poynok, Deputy Commander of the 2nd Army Area, was present at Camp Suranaree in Nakhon Ratchasima Province."

Maj. Gen. Narathip Poynok, Deputy Commander of Army Area 2, expressed his gratitude for the generosity of the RTA brothers and allies, noting that all the items were beneficial and a great encouragement for the frontline soldiers. He urged them to be confident that the soldiers will perform their duties to protect Thailand's sovereignty to the best of their ability.

However, the TAT will now use the remaining donations from the event to help people in border areas affected by the situation. A donation point will be opened at the TAT Klong Toei office building from August 5-6, 2025, inviting employees and members of the public to donate rice, dried food, and essential items to be distributed to border residents in Ubon Ratchathani Province.

"The TAT is ready to stand as a strong supporter of the military's missions, enabling them to perform their duties to the best of their ability. We stand alongside our brave soldiers and fellow citizens, and we express our support and concern for the soldiers who have sacrificed to protect the nation's sovereignty and ensure the peace and prosperity of Thailand," said the TAT Director.
