Samut prakan: Police in Samut Prakan subdued a 21-year-old man exhibiting erratic behavior and attempting to jump off a building, as stated by his roommate, who claimed the incident was triggered by the consumption of two jelly beans. Authorities remain skeptical and are awaiting the results of a medical examination.

According to Thai News Agency, the Samut Prakan Province Emergency Medical Services Command Center received an urgent report about a patient experiencing convulsions, necessitating immediate intervention. The incident took place in a village located in the Bang Sao Thong Subdistrict, Bang Sao Thong District. Emergency services coordinated with Bang Sao Thong Police Station officers and Ruamkatanyu Rescue Volunteers for assistance.

At the site, a five-story apartment building, five young men were found restraining the 21-year-old using cloth scraps to tie his hands and feet to prevent him from fleeing. They managed to control him on the third floor of the building.

Mr. A, a friend of the individual, shared that they were rooming together with another person. The 21-year-old had traveled from the South two days prior in search of employment. During this period, he was unable to sleep and subsequently consumed two jelly beans. Shortly after, he began exhibiting delirious behavior, screaming and attempting to run out of the room with the intent to jump off the building. His friends intervened and called for police and medical assistance.
