Police Refute Rumors of Mass Officer Transfers

Bangkok: Police officials have clarified that no formal request has been made to transfer 500 officers to different units. Pol. Lt. Gen. Archayon Kraithong, spokesperson and Commander of the Police Personnel Office, addressed misinformation circulating online regarding a supposed transfer of officers from the rank of Police Sergeant to Police Senior Sergeant.

According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Lt. Gen. Kraithong emphasized that neither the Human Resources Office nor the Manpower Office had received any official communication or coordination about such a transfer. He urged the public to rely on official announcements from government bodies concerning the recruitment or transfer of civil servants.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Kraithong reiterated his position as the Commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, responsible for personnel matters within the Royal Thai Police, stating he had not seen any communication requesting the transfer of officers to other units. He advised citizens to verify information before sharing it online, warning that spreading false information could lead to legal consequences.
