Ang Thong: "P-Ped", the pair responsible for the fatal shooting of two individuals in Ang Thong, have been apprehended by police.
According to Thai News Agency, the Ang Thong police, in collaboration with the Special Operations Unit of Region 1, successfully captured 'P Daowdueng-Ped' after they committed the murders of a disabled former war veteran and his sister's ex-boyfriend, leading to two deaths.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Naradet Tipyarat, Deputy Commander of Provincial Police Region 1, spearheaded the operation with support from a special operations unit of Provincial Police Region 1, officers from the Crime Suppression Division, Region 1, as well as investigation units from Ang Thong Provincial Police and Ang Thong City Police Station. The operation included over 60 fully armed officers who raided a residence in Moo 1, Wang Nam Yen Subdistrict, Saeng Ha District, Ang Thong Province. They had received intelligence that Mr. P Daowdueng, also known as Mr. Thanathorn, aged 31, and Mr. Ped, or Mr. Noppadol, aged 33, were hiding there. The suspects were wanted for breaking into a house and shooting the victims on February 14.
The authorities managed to arrest Mr. P, Mr. Ped, and Mr. Lek, the homeowner. A search of the premises uncovered an 11 mm. gun with a magazine and over 30 rounds of ammunition stored in a bag, as well as the motorcycle used during the crime.
Mr. P confessed that his uncle, Mr. Decha, had ongoing disputes with him, which fueled his actions. He stated that he killed Mr. Tao due to personal grievances related to his sister, who was formerly his girlfriend. The police are now expanding their investigation to trace the origins of the firearm and ammunition and to identify any additional accomplices, with a commitment to enforcing strict legal measures.
