Mae Hong Son: Pol. Lt. Gen. Samran Nuanma, Assistant Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, avoided media questions while accompanying Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, to inspect Pai District. The inspection focused on the Chabad Foundation amid rumors of Israeli occupation in the area.
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Lt. Gen. Samran was questioned about his absence from a recent meeting of the Special Case Committee (ECPC), which was set to discuss potential collusion in the selection of senators. His absence led to the meeting's cancellation and the postponement of any decision-making. He briefly mentioned having other commitments as the reason for missing the meeting.
When pressed further by reporters regarding his other engagements and whether the meeting was informed, Pol. Lt. Gen. Samran chose not to respond. Instead, he swiftly exited the media's presence without providing further clarification.
Following his evasion of media queries, Pol. Lt. Gen. Samran participated in a meeting with Mr. Anutin and other relevant parties. The meeting aimed to address concerns regarding the backlash against Israeli tourists at the Montis Resort Hotel in Pai District, Mae Hong Son Province.
