Surachet Hakpal, former deputy national police chief who was accused of involvement in online gambling, revealed on his farewell day as a police officer that the investigation of the case had been ongoing for a considerable period of time. Currently, the accused are in the process of filing a request for fairness with the committee to investigate additional witnesses, of whom there are many. As chairman of the investigation, he will treat all parties equally. After this, it is the duty of the new national police chief to assign the deputy national police chief who has come to su pervise and continue the work, which he considers to be the end of his duty. He believes that the investigation will be completed within the specified time frame. He insists that he is doing his duty and is not running away from the problem or lifting a burden off his chest. Everything is proceeding according to the procedure and he is not worried. He does it honestly and straightforwardly and fairly to all parties. As for the part where Pol. Gen. Surachet's close subordinate sued him, Pol. Gen. Sarawut laughed and said that it was a gift before retirement. Suing him was a right that he could do. He personally had prepared himself from the beginning. As a police officer, he had to be ready to accept it at all times. As for the lawsuit, he had to fight and defend himself according to the law.
