Bangkok: Government spokesman reveals that the Prime Minister has ordered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Labor to handle the Israel-Iran conflict in all dimensions, preparing a contingency plan, emphasizing that Thais in risk areas must be taken care of to the fullest extent, while the latest report has not found any Thais harmed.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed the latest situation in the Middle East. This morning, June 13, 2025, there was a report that Israel had attacked targets in Tehran, Iran. The Prime Minister has urgently ordered the Ministry of Labor to coordinate with companies that employ Thais to work in Israel to prepare shelters for Thai workers if the situation worsens. He has also requested cooperation from employment agencies to temporarily postpone sending new Thai workers to Israel. He has instructed Thai workers in the area to be more careful and avoid gathering in risk areas because there may be a risk of terrorism. He has also instructed all relevant agencies to set up a special task force to prepare to evacuate Thai workers immediately if the situation worsens.

The Prime Minister has assigned the Thai embassies in both countries to take care of Thai people living in Tehran and Israel to follow the recommendations and closely follow news from the embassies for maximum safety.

"From checking with the Royal Thai Embassy in Tehran, initially no Thais were found to have been harmed by this attack. The Prime Minister has instructed all agencies to monitor the situation, be vigilant, and prepare contingency plans in every situation to fully protect and look after the safety of Thais and Thai workers abroad," the government spokesman said.
