PM Avoids Interview After Medical Council Upholds Original Resolution

Bangkok: The Prime Minister avoided giving an interview after the Medical Council upheld the original resolution, while "Anutin" helped deliver the media to the car.

According to Thai News Agency, at 3:15 p.m., after Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, completed her mission as chairwoman of the project 'Women's Power for Development, Building Opportunities, Creating the Future', reporters tried to ask about the Medical Council's resolution. The resolution confirmed the original decision of the Medical Council on 8 May 2015, which involved punishing three doctors in the case of the treatment of Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra, former Prime Minister, on the 14th floor of Police General Hospital. The announcement of the Medical Council's resolution coincided with the conclusion of the Prime Minister's mission.

The Prime Minister did not provide an interview and promptly exited the event, getting into her car to leave immediately. Her team, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, were tasked with preventing the media from obtaining an interview, accompanying her to the car door to ensure her swift departure.
