According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira expects to convene a meeting of the Economic Stimulus Policy Committee, chaired by the Prime Minister, to consider the 10,000-baht digital wallet project, Phase 3, for registered individuals by the end of this month. The meeting is contingent upon the readiness of the system, which is currently under review.
Mr. Pichai stated that if the system is prepared, the meeting will include discussions on payment logistics, including the methods of payment and the recipient groups. The timeline for the payment will also be clarified. He reiterated that the payment is expected to be in digital form, not in cash.
