Sisaket: Ms. Phurika Sommai, the Pheu Thai Party candidate for Constituency 5 in Sisaket Province, has ramped up her campaign efforts for the upcoming by-election.
According to Thai News Agency, the by-election, set for September 28, 2025, has seen intensified campaigning efforts from the Pheu Thai Party, which is employing various methods, including on-the-ground campaigning, parades, walkouts, and social media outreach.
Ms. Phurika has been actively encouraging the residents of Khun Han and Phusing districts in Sisaket to unite and support the Pheu Thai Party, emphasizing the importance of protecting their dignity and preserving the democratic system. She called on voters to avoid the "land of political cobras," a term previously used to describe Pheu Thai MPs who switched parties, undermining political integrity and public trust.
She urged the constituents of Sisaket to demonstrate their democratic power and vote in the by-election to challenge political forces that disrespect the majority. Ms. Phurika emphasized the need for a majority government to effectively implement the Pheu Thai Party's policies, which she claims have consistently benefited the people. She warned against the formation of a minority government, which she believes would hinder national development.
Highlighting the importance of the election, Ms. Phurika called on her "beloved and respected" constituents to vote for Pheu Thai Party representatives who genuinely understand the needs of the people. She expressed confidence that the residents of Khun Han and Phusing districts do not want to see political maneuvers that undermine public dignity. Ms. Phurika concluded by asking for support to succeed Mr. Amornthep Sommai and represent the people as candidate number 1 for the Pheu Thai Party.
