Pheu Thai Party Resolute Amid Constitutional Court Verdict Concerns

Bangkok: Monporn reassured that regardless of the Constitutional Court's verdict, the Prime Minister's name will remain Paethongtarn. Monporn asserts that Pheu Thai has not devised a strategy for the August 29 verdict, awaiting a party meeting to deliberate on setting up a war room.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Manoporn Charoensri, Deputy Minister of Transport and Pheu Thai Party MP for Nakhon Phanom, addressed preparations for the Constitutional Court's impending verdict on August 29th concerning Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, and an audio clip involving a conversation with Samdech Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Senate. Ms. Manoporn highlighted that any potential consequences related to the Prime Minister and Pheu Thai Party's policies would be determined by the Constitutional Court. She refrained from commenting on the court's decision-making process.

Ms. Manoporn affirmed that there are no current preparations, as the issue has not yet arisen. She emphasized that, irrespective of the outcome, Ms. Paethongtarn will continue to serve as Prime Minister.

Regarding the possibility of Pheu Thai Party establishing a war room to oversee the court's decision, Ms. Manoporn stated that it remains uncertain and will depend on the outcomes of the party's MP meeting scheduled for this afternoon, which is a part of the party's regular agenda. She conveyed her support for the Prime Minister.
