PEA Ensures Safety of Buildings Nationwide Amid Earthquake Impact

Bangkok: The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has undertaken a comprehensive safety inspection of all its office buildings nationwide following an earthquake in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar that affected parts of Thailand. PEA has confirmed the structural integrity of its buildings, ensuring there is no disruption to operations, and is ready to serve the public as usual.

According to Thai News Agency, PEA has mobilized personnel, vehicles, and mobile generators, along with electric lighting, to support both government and private sectors. The authority is collaborating with government agencies to assess damage in affected areas across its 74 provinces. PEA is actively monitoring the earthquake situation and inspecting the power grid's stability to maintain a normal power supply. The organization is also preparing to offer additional assistance if needed.

PEA offices are open during regular business hours nationwide, and the 1129 PEA CONTACT CENTER is available to assist electricity users 24/7. The PEA extends its deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to those affected by the earthquake, offering support and encouragement to overcome this crisis swiftly.
