Paramotor Crashes in Phuket, Injuring Instructor and Student

Phuket: A paramotor crashed in the middle of the road in front of Paklok Airport in Thalang District, Phuket Province. Two flight instructors and students were injured.

According to Thai News Agency, the paramotor crash occurred around 4:00 PM on Muang Mai Road, Village No. 2, Pa Klok Subdistrict, Thalang District, Phuket Province, near Pa Klok's small airport. Investigators revealed that the small aircraft was carrying Mr. Surasak, approximately 40 years old, a flight instructor, and a foreign flight student named Mr. Sergei Razukov, 36 years old. Both individuals sustained injuries during the accident.

The Thai flight instructor suffered a head injury but remained conscious. Meanwhile, the flight student, who has been residing in Phuket for around five years, sustained minor injuries. Both were promptly rescued and transported to Thalang Hospital for medical attention.

The initial police investigation indicated that Mr. Surasak and Mr. Sergei Razukov had taken the paramotor for a flight starting at approximately 2:00 PM from the Paklok small airport. The crash occurred at around 4:00 PM on the road in front of the airport.

The exact cause of the accident remains undetermined. However, local residents reported that the plane was seen circling several times before an explosion was heard.
