Bangkok: Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra, accompanied by key government officials, traveled to Ubon Ratchathani to strengthen security arrangements involving former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's team. This move aims to ensure the safety of the Prime Minister amidst ongoing political activities.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, alongside Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister Dr. Prommin Lertsuridej, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces General Manas Chandi, and Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Army General Thongchai Rodyoi, departed from Don Mueang, Bangkok. Their destination was the 21st Air Force Base in Mueang Ubon Ratchathani District, where they were received by Lt. Gen. Boonsin Phadklang, Commander of the 2nd Army Area.
Upon arrival, Ms. Paethongtarn greeted the media with a smile but refrained from giving interviews. Notably, the visit featured a security detail that included the team of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, integrated into the current Prime Minister's motorcade, highlighting the emphasis on enhanced security protocols.
