Paethongtarn Shinawatra’s Silence Sparks Media Curiosity Amid Constitutional Court Inquiry

Bangkok: Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, was seen leaving Building 1 of the Government House after a special cabinet meeting, where her silence on crucial questions left the media buzzing. Reporters inquired about her actions regarding the Constitutional Court's order to halt her duties and submit necessary documents within a 15-day period. However, the Prime Minister chose not to disclose any information about appointing a team leader for this task. Instead, she simply smiled and remarked, 'There are questions every day,' before heading to the Thai Khu Fah Building to collect personal belongings and important documents, a task that took about an hour, after which she departed Government House at 3:15 p.m.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister's conspicuous silence comes at a time when the government is grappling with a narrow majority and the parliament's initial session has already faced setbacks. Despite these pressing issues, Ms. Paethongtarn refrained from answering any questions related to them. Her agenda for the following day includes a visit to the sacred place of the Ministry of Culture at 9:29 a.m., followed by an afternoon meeting with the ministry's executives.
