Bangkok: The Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) inaugurated the Prime Minister’s Insurance Awards 2025 at the Bangkok Convention Center A1, Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Center, CentralWorld. The ceremony, themed “INSURENEXT: Driving the Future of Insurance with Digital Innovation and Sustainability,” aimed to honor outstanding achievements in the Thai insurance industry.
According to Thai News Agency, the awards ceremony was presided over by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira, who congratulated the winners for their achievements and underscored the significance of the awards as a catalyst for future growth. He emphasized the role of the insurance industry in bolstering the country’s economic growth and highlighted the potential for the industry’s direct premiums to surpass 1 trillion baht soon.
Mr. Chuchat Pramulpol, Secretary-General of the OIC, noted the ceremony’s importance in recognizing exceptional performance in management, customer service, innovation, and transparency within the insurance industry. This year, the awards included the signature of Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Prime Minister, Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, on the honorary plaque, a prestigious acknowledgment for recipients. The rigorous selection process ensured transparency and honored 61 awardees across 12 categories.
Among the notable recognitions were the Hall of Fame award to Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited and the Outstanding Management awards to various leading companies. The ceremony also spotlighted innovation and sustainability, with awards for companies excelling in these areas, and honored individuals and organizations contributing to the insurance industry and its governance.
The event also featured the 2025 Insurance Communicators Youth Competition, recognizing young talents from schools across the country. The Secretary-General reiterated the awards’ role in reinforcing industry standards and promoting sustainable economic and social development on an international scale.
