According to Thai News Agency, police, soldiers, and local government officials surrounded the area of Ban Charakadong, Krong Pinang District, Yala Province. Three insurgents ran out of the house and used their firearms to shoot at the officers. The officers returned fire. After the gunfire died down, officers used a drone to find the bodies of the three insurgents. Officers seized three military weapons. Officers are not yet finished with their mission and are unable to inspect the area where the clash occurred because they are concerned that the insurgents may have set up a trap. The latest update is that one more body was found, bringing the total to four.
Pol. Maj. Gen.
