Bangkok: The new cabinet has gradually gathered at Government House to take the oath of office, followed by a cabinet meeting scheduled for later in the evening.
According to Thai News Agency, the ministers were initially scheduled to arrive at Government House at 2:00 PM for an ATK test at Santi Maitri Building, before proceeding to the Amporn Sathan Throne Hall in Dusit Palace for the oath-taking ceremony.
Government House officials have prepared the venue for the arrival of the ministers, with a notable presence of both Thai and international media. Following the oath-taking, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, will chair a special cabinet meeting. A press conference is expected to be held at the Phakdi Bodin Building afterwards.
Ministers have been arriving throughout the morning, with Petty Officer 1st Class Yotsingh Liamlert, Deputy Minister of Industry, being the first to arrive at 10:41 a.m. In an interview, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Suchart Chomklin, emphasized the urgency of bringing in qualified individuals to fulfill responsibilities over the next four months. He also called for support from all parties to help expedite government efforts.
Suchart further mentioned that he is currently unaffiliated with any political party and has a four-month window to make a decision regarding joining one. He expressed confidence that participating in Anutin's government will yield positive outcomes.
