Bangkok: The National Defence College, in collaboration with government and private sectors, has launched the 'Future Ready by Future Leader' project, designed to provide equal opportunities for youth across Thailand to intern with leading Thai companies. The initiative aims for at least 10 percent of the workforce to secure permanent employment.
According to Thai News Agency, Lt. Gen. Thaksin Sirisingha, Director of the National Defense College, National Defense Studies Institute, explained that the National Defense Course for Future Executives (NDDC) is crafted to create leaders who deeply understand Thai society. These leaders are envisioned to not only lead organizations but also drive changes in economics, society, and politics, analyze policies, and foster connections between public and business sectors for effective management approaches, ultimately contributing to sustainable development of society and the nation.
The National Defence College of Thailand has tailored a curriculum to incorporate security concepts into the Future Ready by Future Leader project, focusing on public benefit. This project facilitates nationwide internships for youth, aiming to enhance labor skills by working alongside professionals in leading Thai companies. It collaborates with over 50 companies within various industries, including New S-Curve, manufacturing, digital, aviation, logistics, biofuels, and biochemicals. Notable companies involved include Gulf Public Company Limited, Bitkub Public Company Limited, and AIT Public Company Limited, among others. The project offers more than 150 internship positions, ensuring participants gain practical skills under the guidance of professional mentors. The first-year goal is to transition at least 10% of interns into permanent roles.
Additionally, the project has partnered with the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC) to provide a special quota for new graduates from remote areas in the four southern border provinces. The SBPAC will select candidates with high academic or professional potential for this opportunity, promoting equality for southern youth. Applications are open from July 4-31, 2025, via www.JobThai.com/Futureleader, with internships commencing in August.
