Bangkok: Nawat Itsaragrisil, CEO of Miss Grand International Public Company Limited and Vice President of the Miss Universe Asiana Organization, has shared his reflections on the recently concluded Miss Universe 2025 pageant held in Thailand. As Chairman of the 74th Miss Universe pageant, Nawat took a leading role in organizing the event, which he described as both exhausting and rewarding.
According to Thai News Agency, Nawat expressed his satisfaction with the event's production, expressing hope that viewers would appreciate its portrayal of the universe's essence. Despite the physical and mental toll of the 21-day event, Nawat described the experience as a valuable life lesson that provided him with deeper insights into himself and the world. He appreciated the global audience's support and expressed happiness with the outcome. He acknowledged any mistakes he might have made and extended his apologies.
Nawat praised the performance of Veena Pawina Singh, the Thai sash representative who secured the 1st runner-up position. He highlighted her extensive training and noted that her performance was well-received by both Thai and international audiences. Though she did not win the crown, Nawat respected the decision and acknowledged that other competitors might have had an edge. He expressed pride in her efforts and asserted that she did her best in the competition.
When discussing the winner, Mexico's Fatima Bosch Fernandez, Nawat refrained from commenting on her victory, leaving it to beauty pageant fans to form their own opinions. He respected the decision and advised against disappointment, emphasizing compliance with the rules. He extended his congratulations to the winner.
Nawat highlighted the pride of the Thai people in hosting the event, emphasizing their control over various aspects of the production, including lighting, sound, and overall presentation.
