National Police Chief Respects Judicial Process in Former Deputy’s Court Case

Bangkok: The national police chief has stated that he will not interfere in the ongoing judicial proceedings involving the former deputy national police chief, who has lodged a complaint with the Administrative Court.

According to Thai News Agency, the National Police Chief, Pol. Gen. Kittirat Panphet, addressed the situation concerning the former deputy national police chief, who has filed a petition with the Supreme Administrative Court seeking justice after being ordered to leave the civil service. The complaint alleges that the order was unlawful and calls for an investigation and disciplinary action against the judge responsible for the case, citing serious ethical violations. Pol. Gen. Kittirat emphasized that it is within the former deputy's rights to pursue legal action through the justice system.

Pol. Gen. Kittirat reiterated that the case is currently under consideration by the Administrative Court, and as a police officer and head of the unit, he is unable to interfere with the judicial process. He acknowledged the expertise and experience of the judges, asserting that he holds their knowledge in high regard. Regardless of the trial's outcome, he expressed his readiness to accept the verdict without criticism.

Moreover, Pol. Gen. Kittirat stressed the competence and fairness of judges in all courts, highlighting their ability to analyze and consider cases impartially. He expressed personal respect for both the judicial process and the former deputy national police chief's decision to exercise his legal rights fully.

The national police chief concluded by affirming that the Royal Thai Police is prepared to accept any verdict and will manage personnel appropriately to ensure the organization's continued efficient operation. He underscored his confidence in the justice system and the professionalism of judges, respecting their privilege and discretion in fulfilling their duties.
