Tak Province: The Myanmar border on the opposite side of Tak Province remains tense as the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) forces have launched a heavy assault on the Kreede base of the Myanmar military. In response, the Myanmar military deployed fighter jets to drop bombs in an effort to protect the base.
According to Thai News Agency, reports from the Rajamanu Task Force, Naresuan Force, indicate that the fighting along the Myanmar border has intensified. This morning, the KNLA's 7th Infantry Division surrounded the Kreede base, utilizing drones to drop bombs and launching attacks with machine guns and rocket launchers against the Myanmar military's 31st Infantry Battalion. The Kreede Base is located in Langpoi District, Pha-an District, Karen State, Myanmar, opposite Ban Mae Salit Luang, Village 2, Mae Song Subdistrict, Tha Song Yang District, Tak Province, approximately 3 kilometers from the border.
In retaliation, the Myanmar military deployed two MIG-29 aircraft to drop four bombs and a Y-12 aircraft to drop approximately 30 bombs on the surrounding KNLA forces to defend their stronghold.
Meanwhile, the Rajamanu Task Force and the 35th Ranger Regiment Task Force of the Naresuan Force have been closely monitoring the situation. They have intensified patrols to ensure the safety of the local population and prevent any encroachment on sovereignty by foreign armed forces.
