MWA Announces Water Supply Suspension for Pipe Repairs at Ratchaprarop and Sri Ayutthaya Intersection

Bangkok: The Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA) has announced a temporary suspension of water supply to facilitate repairs on a burst main pipe at the intersection of Ratchaprarop Road and Sri Ayutthaya Road. This disruption is due to an accident during the construction of the Orange Line electric train. The suspension will last from today until 8:00 a.m. the following day.

According to Thai News Agency, the affected areas include several key roads. Water supply will be halted on Ratchaprarop Road, both the odd-numbered side from Rang Nam Road to Phetchaburi Road and the even-numbered side from Din Daeng Road to Phetchaburi Road. Additionally, both sides of Chaturathit Road from Makkasan Intersection to Ratchathewi Phirom Park, and Soi Mor Leng will experience outages. Sri Ayutthaya Road's south side from Ratchaprarop to Phaya Thai Road, Ratchadamri Road's even-numbered side from Phetchaburi to Ploenchit Road, and the north side of Ploenchit Road from Ratchadamri to Chidlom Road will also be affected. Furthermore, both sides of Petchburi Road from Phaya Thai Road to Asoke-Din Daeng Road will see water supply interruptions.

The MWA has expressed apologies for any inconvenience caused by this necessary maintenance work. To assist residents, water trucks have been dispatched to the affected areas.
